Emraan Hashmi in Karan Johar’s next??
There were days when Emraan Hashmi did only dark films, loads of love making and that too mainly for Mahesh Bhatt’s films.
But not anymore. If buzz is to be believed, Emraan will be seen in Karan Johar next production to be directed by Rensil D’Silva.
A source close to the production house says, “After Kurbaan, Rensil was supposed to make a film with Salman Khan in the lead role. However, with Salman’s 2012 calendar choc-a-bloc with the many projects he is currently filming, the filmmaker has decided to make another film in the meantime. The ensemble cast for this new project will have Emraan Hashmi in the lead role. The rest of the cast is still being finalised.”
Adds the source, “Having delivered a string of hits, it is clear that Emraan has a massive fan following. The producers realise that Emraan is a big star in the industry today. And thus, Karan Johar and Rensil D’Silva have decided to work with him in their next project.”
There hasn’t been any formal announcemen and as of now everything else about the film is kept under wraps.

Salman shoots down Hrithik’s appearance on Bigg Boss finale
Salman Khan may not physically be there for every episode. And Sanjay Dutt may have taken over from him as the host this season, but Salman still seems to be bossing around at the Bigg Boss house. Mumbai Mirror learnt that the dabangg man has decided not to let Hrithik Roshan be the special guest for the grand finale of the reality television series.
Hrithik was supposed to promote his upcoming release Agneepath on the grand finale of the TV show. Sanjay Dutt, the main villain of the film, being a part of the show should have helped the marketing initiative. However, Salman has put his foot down. Khan has now asked Imran Khan to promote Karan Johar’s next production Ek Main Aur Ek Tu on the grand finale.
Sources from the industry believe that Salman’s decision to invite Imran Khan instead of Hrithik on the show stems from his off-screen equation with the respective stars. While Salman is rather fond of Imran, and has been rather vocal with his praises for the younger actor, the same cannot be said about his equation with Hrithik.
It can be recalled, that Hrithik’s comments on Salman’s outburst about Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Guzaarish did not go down too well with the latter. So, when he was told that the team of Agneepath, which included Hrithik, Priyanka Chopra and Sanjay Dutt would grace the grand finale of Bigg Boss, Salman refused to entertain them. A source close to the production unit for the show revealed that Salman apparently, made it clear that he is the heart and soul of the show and Sanjay Dutt was only holding up the show in his absence.
However, though Hrithik won’t be a part of the visiting entourage, producer Karan Johar remains a constant. Considering both Hrithik’s and Imran’s films are from KJo’s stable, the filmmaker will be very much a part of the finale. When contacted, Karan even confirmed that he would be gracing the show with Imran in tow.

Hrithik hospitalised in Breach Candy with bad back
Hrithik Roshan, working non-stop for Karan Johar’s Agneepath has now hurt his back.
He has been advised complete bed rest for about fifteen days, which in turn has put the project, Agneepath on hold. The shoot of the film directed by Karan Malhotra has been cancelled until Hrithik gets back on his feet.
Hrithik was spotted at Breach Candy Hospital undergoing MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging). A source informed, “The actor entered the hospital, visibly in a lot of pain. The doctors attended to him almost immediately.”
However, senior radiologist Dr Anirudh Kohli from Breach Candy Hospital refused to divulge the details of the various tests conducted on Roshan Jr. “I cannot share any information about my patients since there is a privacy issue,” said Kohli. Another official from the hospital (name withheld on request) said, “We have been strictly told not to talk about Hrithik to anybody.”
While the hospital officials refused to part with information on the actor’s health, a source revealed, “Hrithik was supposed to lift a burly fighter, who weighs nearly 110 kg during the Agneepath shoot.
This is a very important scene in the film. Perhaps he got a little carried away and decided to do it himself (without using a body double). Kar to diya lekin uske immediately baad uske back mein bahut dard hone laga.”
“He was in a lot of pain and needed medical help. Lifting 110 kilos of a man obviosuly put a lot of pressure on Hrithik’s back,” added the source.
When contacted, Hrithik’s father, Rakesh Roshan, said, “Fighter ke scene ka koi problem nahin hua. Hrithik has been working almost continuously on his TV show Just Dance and Karan Johar’s film Agneepath. He is back home, he just needs a little rest since he is overworked.”
Hrithik Roshan remained unavailable for comment. Karan Johar too did not reply to our text message.
According to sources, a song and a few important scenes of Agneepath still remain to be shot.
